An economic times article mentioned that India government is going to facilitate company incorporation in just 1 day, which was reverted back to the conventional procedure within one week.

Before we get started, could you please give a brief about yourself? Your background before Craftila.

I completed my schooling from the Scindia School and graduated from the University of Westminster, London in BSc (Hon) Biotechnology. I have worked previously with United Nations Industrial Development Organization and Foundation for MSME Clusters before starting Craftila. Apart from work, I am a football enthusiast and enjoy travelling. I’m also a big geek when it comes to new technology.

What prompted you to start Craftila? What is Craftila? Why did you choose the gifts category?

When a guy from IBM, a techie from IIT and a nerdy biotechnologist face the question of “do we really want to do this?” they usually find answers in something very different from what they thought their lives would be. And hence, we started Craftila to switch from our boring 9 to 5 jobs. Started by three high school friends, Craftila is a utility gift store and offers over 500 products ranging from bags to home décor, corporate gifts to photo frames, greeting cards to mugs. With a number of exclusive options, Craftila’s customers will never have to settle for the same old boring gifts or run out of ideas for a perfect gift anymore. Unique products, beautiful packaging, prompt delivery and excellent customer service is what sets Craftila apart.

From time to time, I would wander in whole sale market to look for trading opportunities. You never know when you spot a gap in the market.

FROM QUANTUM PHYSICS TO FINANCIAL JARGONS

London is known for its financial industry and filthy rich investment bankers. People working for huge financial institutions make huge and spend huge. There is no doubt that young working professionals slog during the week, and their financial packages are hugely criticised by the masses. 

My friend (in this picture) is no different as he aspires to drive one in his 20's by landing a job with the city. He says "Why continue my present field when I can own a porche if I work in a Bank"

It is said if you are good with people and numbers you can work in the financial industry and its the hefty pay packages which continue to pull the best talent from engineering and IT to take up this number game.

I personally know few engineers who were brillant during their engineering and now are either in audit or trading. Open linkedIn sometime and checkout few profiles associated with either some bank or audit firm and no surprise, most them are engineers from top engineering schools from India.

I have no take on this topic, but if the trend continues, science and IT will end up loosing brillant minds at an early stage.
